I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting. Blogger has eaten several posts of mine over the years- it's smartest to compose in wordpad or something then paste into blogger.
In my settings I have placeholders for images that way I can pop the flick'r location right in, easy peasy! [img src="http://wherevertheimageis.pic"][/img] like that but with the proper placeholders... you can even stick a [center] & [/center] around it! Makes it easy & hassle free

Man, that sucks. I've had that happen before. I don't know about on blogger, but on livejournal you can save a copy before you make it public. Sometimes if I'm writing a long entry I will stop and save it as private and then keep writing on it.
It looks like y'all had a blast with Kristine! I can't wait to see your pictures.

Knock on wood, I've yet to have that happen, but I have had times where the computer crashed when I was in the middle of writing. Just plain bites! Looking forward to when you smack Blogger upside the head, and then get the pics up here! :)

Have you tried "recover post"? It worked for me earlier today. If you just click "Create new post"... right under where you put in the title there's a link that says "recover post" and it totally worked. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
