Happy Halloween!

IMG_1586

It was a successful trick or treat day!

My friend D.Nice from my glamorous waitressing job came over to join into the festivities.
I made a vegetarian, organic chili and an organic salad and served it along with some organic hummus from Trader Joe's and yummy chips!

Then we proceeded out to gather massive amounts of candy on a lovely O'Hallows-Eve, the rain even managed to stop for our trick or treating extravaganza!

Hope you all had a fun time too!

Time to get ready for Thanksgiving . . .

Great costumes! I love your witch hat with the purple edge. Man, I need a good veggie chili recipe. I have yet to find one I really like.

it's just me: Thanks for stopping by again :) Happy November to YOU!

Ang: No costume, but I did try to take her out trick or treating for awhile; but her got way toooo cold!

Pissy: No I don't let them eat it; I just steal it from them!

Lucky Lum: Trader Joe's rocks. Send me a list and I'll send you some shit!

SFG: Thanks!

Lori: Yes, I loved that shirt that she wore, cracked me up!

Crisitn: We did have a good time. First we had to exercise a demon from DD#2 but after that, it was smooth sailing. Damn demons.

Nap Queen: I found that hat at Target a couple of years ago. I always dress like a witch for Halloween!
The veggie chili I just kind of made up: three cans of dark kidney beans, one can of white kidney beans, two cans of diced tomatoes, two cans of tomatoe sauce, some green onions, some garlic, shredded carrots and chili powder. After it cooks awhile, I added some frozen white corn. Simmer it until the beans are nice and soft and top with cheddar cheese and sour cream, (it's veggie, not vegan...) I usually like to add cheezits on top too, but they're not so good for you!

Valerie: Thanks!

Curly: Well, I'm a bitch the other 364 days of the year, and a witch on Halloween!! I love being a bitch, I mean witch!

Kami: Sure I'll come to Dallas for Thanksgiving, I don't have the kids this year; how you gonna explain to the IL's that a lesbian from portland and her dog are coming to bring you a toaster oven? And BTW, I would be getting the toaster oven, unless there is something you're not telling us!
