My name is Kathryn and I'm a recovering straight girl... I realized after thirty-five years of being with men, that living the straight life is not the life for me. I am currently in the 12 step recovery program, trying to find my way to being a "real" lesbian.
You know what that means?
A lot of drunk, partying, sign carrying gay people galavanting and philadering throught the streets of Portland searching for debauchery, depravity,revelry, seduction, sensuality, and sybaritism. (I know how to use the thesaurus...)

I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting.
