About Me
- Name: Kathryn
- Location: Portland, Oregon
I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting. I can be found at: kathrynmartini.com recoveringstraightgirl.com and most recently, martinisserenity.blogspot.com

It does suck doesn't it? That's why I was so depressed when I lived in the PacNW.
It's been really rainy and chilly here lately.
Sending you warm and sunny thoughts.
Rain makes me want to just hide in the bed til it's gone. Hope you see some sun soon!
When I was in Victoria last month they kept talking about a record number of consecutive days of rain. For me, during the better part of the week I was there, it wasn't so much about the rain (which was fairly light) but the lack of sunshine.
Hope thing clear up soon!
WE NEED SOME RAIN!!!
I could have sworn when I watched the 11 PM news last night the weather forecaster predicted lots of sun breaks for this afternoon. Instead, it poured all afternoon! I am sick of the rain!!!!!!!
You didn't mention how long it takes for summer to come here...remember that first summer we were here...I think it was Aug. or something...LOL!
Shelly
It's been unusually dry around here for the last couple of months - so much so that they are already talking about there being a drought and water shortages this summer. What's more likely to happen however is that it will just rain for the whole summer instead.
Staying in bed all day can have it's merits with the right person :) That being said, I am not a big fan of rainy days either. I tend to get depressed and I have to hijack Reilly and force him outside to potty
Just found your blog- Eminem? what's up with that. As far as the rain goes all I can say is drink more martinis and write about it.
Cheers.
What the hell? I woke up this morning to hear the sound of rain pouring down and I thought of you! I hope you're getting some of the sun that left here!
Oh man that stinks! 51 days I would not know what to do with myself!
Portland is beautiful though!
It is raining here too!
Yesterday, today and suppose to rain all weekend.
I do not heart that.
I do not heart the rain, but I do heart all of you bitches.
