Happy Homeowners!

Yesterday HG and I signed our lives away. We are now the proud owners (well, after thirty years of payments,) of our beautiful home together.

We get the keys tomorrow at five and move in Saturday morning.

Woo-hoo.

And yes, despite Shelly's vicous rumor that I hadn't started packing (I hadn't,) I have been packing my little heart out; probably about half way there and a few more trips to the Goodwill.

Oh, and by girls I mean your beautiful DDs, not Shangie.

But you can bring them, too.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

We just bought my GF's grandpap's house. We have been living here for 4 years (We took care of him after a stroke and he passed away in November).

While it is SO EXCITING to think that it is OURS, It's still a bit scary to think that we now have a MORTGAGE payment EVERY MONTH.

It's kinda weird to think that when he had this house built 50 years ago, his mortgage payment was $50.00 a month, and our payment (including insurance and taxes), is $655.00.

Congratulations on the wonderful journey on which you are embarking!

May your home be as blessed and filled with love as ours is!!

Most excellent! I hope your move goes as smoothly as possible. And at least you won't have to mail anything to yourself...I mailed myself 14 huge boxes of stuff, and only 13 have arrived. Grrrr....

Congratulations on being a home owner (well .. in thirty years). In thirty years I hope to be living in a warm southern climate, playing bridge everyday, and execising my walker. ;-)
