My Medicine Cabinet

I don't have a medicine cabinet, I keep all of the medicine above the sink in that little cabinet that isn't good for anything.
I took a picture of my favorite drugs,
XANEX!

I am on Paxil....have been thinking of switching to Xanax. Does Xanax have any sexual side effects? Paxil does......my husband has to preheat the oven for about half an hour. ;)

Love your new look!!

I've been out most of the day; if you still have the info that you need, go ahead and change it.

Cherry:
Xanax is an anti-anxiety medicine; it's short acting for occasional use, it just "calms" you down ever so slightly. Paxil is an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medicine (a SSRI) which actually affects your brain chemistry. I used to take Paxil and had the same sexual problems; I switched to Effexor (also pictured,) which is a different class of medicines and I had no side effects except that I lost a lot of weight. I really liked effexor a lot; I stopped taking it because I was on such a low dose, I went off of it to see how I would do; and generally I've done fine.

I have had a prescription for effexor xr in my possession for weeks now that I am afraid to have filled after the nasty side effects from both paxil and lexapro. Now you have me thinking maybe this one will actually work. Love your blog!

Welcome to my home, the land of psychophamacological drugs. Keep them safe and secure in a cool, dry place. For best results, do not leave them near heat or source of humidity (i.e. sink). And for those who have tried one or two SSRIs, there are a multitude out there, and sometimes it takes a while to get the cocktail just right. Get them from a shrink, not your friendly family doctor. They are playing in a playground where they have done nothing but fall off swings. After 20+ years in psychopharm land, I feel quite secure in that caveat.
