My name is Kathryn and I'm a recovering straight girl... I realized after thirty-five years of being with men, that living the straight life is not the life for me. I am currently in the 12 step recovery program, trying to find my way to being a "real" lesbian.

I had to clean up this bitch to take the picture, ten minutes before there was clean laundry all over the bed. I really hate putting clean laundry away.
I like to sleep.
A lot.
I love to go back to bed after I've been up for awhile.
I like to read in bed.
I like to do it in bed.
I like to watch tv in bed.
I really love my bed.

I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting. Well, unfortunately, I have no place to find peace, and also no meds to deal with the fact that there is no place to find peace, and the last trip I took didn't allow for returning with anything other than what was in the envelope they gave me on my way back out of the holding cell (of course, this is a sick lie, but it's funny still). I take no trips where Souveniers are obtained. Single mom, all that jolly rot.
