My name is Kathryn and I'm a recovering straight girl... I realized after thirty-five years of being with men, that living the straight life is not the life for me. I am currently in the 12 step recovery program, trying to find my way to being a "real" lesbian.
I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting. Ooooh! An old-fashioned game of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Sounds like fun! Unfortunately, it's Saturday and I haven't taken any pictures. I'll try next week. Keep busy this weekend - it will take your mind off what's NOT happening.
